Five Wednesday evening programs
March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Cocoon to Butterfly uses the metamorphous of the egg transitioning into a full-grown butterfly to illustrate and enhance the spiritual growth taking place in each of us during Lent. During each supper, a speaker will share a personal story of spiritual growth, with each session representing a different stage of a developing butterfly. Utilizing the speaker’s personal stories makes Cocoon to Butterfly appealing to audiences of all ages. Families with school aged children, as well adults, will find participating in Cocoon to Butterfly enhances their spiritual journey toward Easter.
All sessions will be Zoom only. After a short introduction, prayer and a Gospel reading, everyone will be assigned into a breakout room with fewer participants to share a few minutes of fellowship as they eat their bowl of soup. After this brief time of eating and fellowship everyone will come back together for the speaker’s presentation and more discussion.
Obviously, each session will be “bring your own soup”. Warm up a bowl of soup and join your St. John’s friends for these five evenings of fellowship and spiritual growth.
Weekly reminders, along with the Zoom link, will be emailed to all St. John’s parishioners. Not a regular attendee of St. John’s? We welcome you to join us in this Lenten Journey.
